WELDA — It’s been more than two weeks since the pipeline explosion near Welda that lit up the early morning sky for miles. Southern Star Central Gas has not released any information about the cause of the explosion despite repeated news inquiries, the Anderson County Review reported. The blast sent a fountain of high-pressure flame into the sky Sept. 22. Emergency workers evacuated several houses in the area before the fire was brought under control. No injuries were reported.
