OTTAWA — The visitors information center on K-68 in eastern Ottawa will soon get a facelift. County tourism director Susan Rader asked Franklin County commissioners to consider a list of repair and maintenance projects at the center, which the county owns. The center is looking worn and in a business in which first impressions are important, it’s essential to make it more presentable looking for visitors, she said. County administrator Derek Brown drafted a list of items including exterior cleaning and paint, which will begin immediately as weather permits; roof repairs, landscaping, carpet cleaning and weatherizing the building.
