OTTAWA – Two members of the Ottawa school board have accused board president Susan Ward of what they say is overstepping her authority. Without discussing it with other board members, Ward told the consulting firm that is conducting the search for a new superintendent that she wanted new representatives to deal with the board, board member Harold Wingert said. it has to do with the search for a new superintendent. Ward replied that she consulted other board members before her action. However, board member Tim Catlin said that raises the question of a possible violation of the state’s Open Meetings Act.
