OTTAWA – Ottawa city officials have held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new teen park along the Prairie Spirit Trail between 15th and 17th streets. The skatepark ramps and features at the Don Woodward Community Center were moved to the new teen park last week. Relocating the skate park amenities was part of the first phase. That also will include three basketball courts and a zip line. The second phase includes a pump track, an above-ground looped system with slopes and banks for bicycles, skateboarding and skating. A local task force continues to raise money for the park and fund-raising has been ongoing since the beginning of the 2016. Friday, Dec. 8, 4 p.m.
