TOPEKA — Kansas Corporation Commission chair Pat Apple of Louisburg says he won’t seek another four-year term when his appointment expires March 15. Apple said he’s announcing now to give the governor time to find someone else. Apple intends to return to his electrical contracting business. Until his appointment by Gov. Sam Brownback, Apple served nearly 10 years as state senator for Miami and Franklin counties.
