WELLSVILLE — Anthony Geist, a senior at Wellsville High School, has been selected to play in the 45th annual Kansas Shrine Bowl next summer. Geist was selected to the East team in an announcement this week by the Kansas Shrine Bowl office. Geist said he is surprised but plans to represent Wellsville the best he can. He joins more than 60 football players from across Kansas on the Shrine Bowl team. Geist is the third player from Franklin County to be selected to the Shrine Bowl team in recent years. Ottawa’s Drew Bones was selected last year and Wellsville’s Brett Osbern in 2015. The Shrine Bowl game is July 28 at Pittsburg State University.
