OLATHE — The regional anti-theft cooperative TRACE said the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department has collared someone with a black standing Campbell Hausfeld air compressor and two Echo chainsaws in cases. TRACE said if the items were stolen, they were likely taken from Franklin, Miami, Johnson or Douglas counties. If you are missing such items, contact Johnson County sheriff’s detective Brett Wilson at 913-715-5561. TRACE recommends that you regularly check your equipment. Often officers will stop people with property that may be stolen, but farmers or property owners don’t check their barns or sheds for days or weeks, which delays investigations.
