It looks like the Ottawa Main Street Association is going to get some help with their bookkeeping, and it comes from none other than the City Finance Department. During the City Commission Study Session, Cathy Sutton with Main Street and Commissioner Blake Jorgensen had a discussion.
The Main Street Association has come under fire for some time for what commissioners say is incomplete record keeping. Finance Director Scott Bird is expected to work with the association to improve the accounting methods.
