Over the weekend you probably saw the big electronic sign telling you of a detour on Main Street as the new waterlines are being installed in beautiful Downtown Ottawa, the first detour of the project is scheduled for today and tomorrow. Crews will be prepping for the replacement of two waterline crossings at the intersection of First and Main. Today and tomorrow, then intersection of First and Main will be closed to through traffic. A detour has been established, routing traffic around the area using K-68 and 7th Street. Detour route signs and a large electric sign board will be used to direct traffic. Crews will do their best to minimize traffic disruptions during the construction, and KOFO will keep you informed of the latest updates on the construction and any traffic issues that may arise.
