The economy is the Midwest is continuing to improve. The Creighton University Business Conditions Index for June was at 61.8, down from Mays 67.3. However, it is the 20th month in a row that the Index has remained above growth neutral. Economist Ernie Goss says the Federal Reserve is concerned about inflation.
Goss says that the tariffs are starting to make an impact on prices, pushing them upward.
