A major breakthrough in the production of wheat has been revealed by the scientist at Kansas State University. Working with the International Wheat Genome Consortium, they have cracked the complete wheat genome.
The work will pave the way for wheat varieties better adapted to climate challenges with higher yields and better nutrition. It took researchers 13 years of work to complete.
