A dilapidated house at 420 South Locust in Ottawa will either get fixed quickly or else torn down, and the credit apparently goes to neighbors who signed a petition to City Hall to get something done. During the regular City Commission Meeting, one neighbor stepped up to the microphone to speak.
The owner Kent Pettyjohn says he wants to renovate the house to live in. The City Commission voted to condemn the house, but Pettyjohn can still repair the house if he does the renovation work in a timely manner.
