The Ottawa School District pays its teachers well, very well. In fact, the district will now be in the top twenty to thirty districts in the state after a pay raise was approved by the school board last night. Superintendent Doctor Ryan Cobbs says the starting pay for a teacher in the district has moved to slightly more than 40 thousand dollars. He says it’s a good day for teachers.
Teachers and returning school administrators all received a raise of 3.1 percent.
