An Ottawa Woman was injured in an accident on the Kansas Turnpike Friday morning. 67-year-old Linda Mets of Ottawa was driving on I-70 between Topeka and Lawrence about 7:15 Friday morning when her vehicle left the roadway twice. Upon returning to the road, the car turned sharply and hit a barrier wall head-on. The crash came as commuter traffic was starting to build up and closed all lanes of the highway for some time. Mets was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment of injuries. She was wearing her seatbelt. It was not immediately clear what caused the accident. Mist and fog blanketed the area at the time of the crash.
