The Ottawa recreation commission fall sports are off to a good start. It is not the sports that are taking center stage right now, it is life skills not taught in schools. The Orc is taking registration for “how to” classes that are designed for teens through young adults.
Do you know to unclog a sink? How about how to change the oil in your car? Recreation Manager Brandon Stortz says, “These are the things the Orc wants people to know how to do.”
The first three classes focus on auto care, home care, and outdoor life. Registration is open now. Call the Orc or stop by the Goppert building for more information. Classes start on October 10th.
