The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a boil water advisory for the city of Pleasanton in Linn County. The advisory is for all customers south of 10th street. People need to boil water for one minute prior to drinking or food preparation, or used bottled water. Water for bathing does not need to be boiled but supervision of young children is important to make sure they do not ingest water.
The advisory took effect late yesterday afternoon due to a water line break that caused a loss of pressure and will remain in effect until further notice. If you have any questions regarding the boil water advisory, contact the Kansas Department of Agriculture. KOFO will keep you informed about the issue and will let you know when the advisory is rescinded. Again, a boil water advisory for the city of Pleasanton in Linn County.
