We have an update on the Main Street waterline replacement project in Downtown Ottawa. This week as crews progress with the replacement of water mains along Main Street, workers will cross 5th Street. When 5th is reached, cross traffic on 5th will not be possible, however, 5th Street west of Main will be open. There will be the usual lane narrowing in the work zone and officials urge everyone to use extra caution and be observant as workers and equipment will be moving around the work zone. The city of Ottawa appreciates the public’s understanding and patience as work continues to make Ottawa a better and a safer place to live, work and shop.
