The Horses seized from a farm in rural Franklin County a few months ago and now officially owned by the county are up to adoption. Sheriff Jeff Richards says they are being housed at a farm in Linn County and will be adopted out soon. He addressed the Franklin County Commission about it and answered a question by a former police officer, Commissioner Rick Howard.
There were originally 55 horses. However, Sherrif Richards says several have been adopted out already, leaving about 40 that need a good home. The adoption event is scheduled for October thirteenth at the Lyon County Fairgrounds.
