With the opioid crisis spreading across America, the Franklin County Sherriff’s Office knows that our county is not immune to the problem. They have initiated a training program with the EMS department to develop methods to deal with the issue if it arises. One thing Sherriff Jeff Richards has done is secure Narcon, the anti antagonist drug used with people who have overdosed.
The opioid is a nationwide concern with government agencies working together with drug companies and law enforcement to educate the public about the dangers.
