With all the hoopla and arguing and bickering going on in Washington the past week, many are asking “what would Bob Dole do?” Well, the 95-year-old former Kansas Senator and candidate for governor had good advice for those on capitol hill today. He says about all the Senate seems to be working. He says that compromise was the way of order in his days as the Republican leader of the Senate.
Dole was attending the unveiling of a bronze statue of himself on the Washburn University campus. His call for bipartisanship drew applause from the crowd. Dole is an alum from the school.
