Food service at the Franklin County jails is about to change. The Franklin County Sherrif’s Office informed the county commissioners today that they will contract with consolidated correctional food service to provide meals for the inmates at the jail. Sheriff Jeff Richards says the new company also provides a service that could benefit inmates once they are released.
The company will provide three meals a day for an estimated cost of about 176 thousand dollars.
