Heavy Rains have caused some issues throughout the listening area this morning.  Flash flood warnings and flood advisories have led to the cancelation of school by USD 365 in Anderson County and USD 479 in Crest.  USD 365 Superintendent Don Blome made the call early this morning when reports of rising water on county roads began coming in.  He says he did not want to risk the busses encountering any flooding on the roads, and he had the safety of all of the students in the district in mind.

According to Anderson County Emergency Management Director JD Mersman.  Anderson County is seeing the usual flooding issues in the county.  The majority of low water bridges are covered as well as flooding of fields by creeks.  He says as of right now there are no homes in danger of evacuation.  Also, he says that Century Link is reporting issues with landline service into Anderson County and is affecting business lines in the Anderson County Communications Center.  Heavy rain is expected in the area through tomorrow evening.  KOFO will keep you informed on any other issues related to the weather as they become available.
