There has been a trend for several years for cities to change over to renewable energy sources, and Ottawa appears to be a leader. Paul Mahlberg is general manager for the Kansas Municipal Energy Agency. He told the city commission about some pleasantly surprising news.
Mahlberg says the city’s ability to generate its own electricity when needed also puts it in a strong position in the energy market.
