The issue of school funding was one of several topics that came up during a candidate forum at Ottawa Middle School last night. Mark Samsel is a Republican who grew up in Wellsville. He is running for the 5th District seat in the Kansas House of Representatives. He says funding schools continues to be a long process.
Samsel says that community and business involvement in public schools needs to increase in order to properly educate students.
