We have an update on construction in Downtown Ottawa. The Ottawa Utilities Department says that there will be some closures over the next few days. Today and tomorrow, Second Street will be closed east of Main Street. Drivers will still be able to access Second Street to the west. Things change on Thursday. That day, Third Street will be closed to the west of Main.
Detours will be provided around the intersections that are closed, and, as usual, drivers need to be aware of workers and equipment moving in and around the work zone. Lane narrowing on Main will continue to occur in the work zones.
