U.S. farmers will be exempt from reporting air pollution from animal waste.  Kansas Senator Jerry Moran, member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works hosted U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler in Kansas City., Tuesday. Wheeler signed a rule to amend the Emergency Release Notification under the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act to make it clear that reporting of air emissions from animal waste at farms is not required.  Kansas News Service Steven Basawha has more.

Moran says it was never the intent of Congress for normal odors from animal waste on farms to fall under our nations emergency hazardous waste reporting requirements.
