Storm sewer improvements on east 15th Street are scheduled to begin next week. According to a media release by the City of Ottawa, Killough Construction will begin work on Monday in the 400 block of East 15th Street. The project area will be from 15th and Mulberry Streets to 15th and Cedar.
Public Works Director Michael Haeffele says that east 15th Street is prone to flooding and to solve the flooding issue, new curb inlets will be added as well as larger pipes. Motorists can expect narrowed lanes for the next few months during construction. Haeffele added the city will make every effort to notify the public prior to any closures. The project is scheduled to be complete by April 1st.
