A tax sale last week has apparently gone a long way toward removing tax-delinquent properties from the tax rolls in Franklin County. County Administrator Derek Brown says the sale was done by a law firm in Lawrence, and he says there’s a good reason for not using someone locally.
Brown says once another tax sale is completed in a few days, that will completely clear the county of tax delinquent properties. Probably the first time that this has happened in quite a few years.
