Franklin County has some pluses and minuses when it comes to attracting new business. At yesterday’s Ottawa City Commission study session, Executive Director Heather Morgan of Project 17 had some interesting insights. Project 17 encompasses part of east-central Kansas and most of southeast Kansas and promotes economic development. She says new companies moving into the area face some challenges.
Morgan says the majority of people employed in Franklin County work in office and administrative support.
