Ottawa Police Chief Dennis Butler has decided to take on a new challenge. He has accepted the position of director of the Riley County Police Department. While he looks forward to the new challenge, he says he struggles with the feelings he has for people in Ottawa.
He adds that he knows the department is in good hands, and is unsure when his last day as Ottawa Chief will be, however, his first day on the job in Riley County is slated for December 26th.
