It appears that a mistake by a software company has caused an error in around 36 hundred statements sent to patrons of the West Franklin School District who are paying for the school bond issue approved last summer. Franklin County Clerk Jody Edwards says the county clerk first noticed the problem.
Edwards says the extra tax due could range from just a few dollars up to a few hundred dollars. She says corrected statements should be received by taxpayers by around December 20th.
