Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the possibility that there could be evidence from a cold case homicide in an old well in the 800 block of East 8th Street. Officials were on the scene at about 8:30 yesterday morning. Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Richards explains why they are digging.
Richards added that the department has an officer assigned full time to cold cases. It is his hope that they can find the evidence they are looking for and provide some closure to a family that has lost a loved one.
