The Franklin County Sheriff’s office served a search warrant last week on a property in the 800 block of East 8th street and searched an old well for evidence in a cold case homicide. There are five homicides in Franklin County that have not been resolved, dating back to 1973. Although they are not at liberty to reveal which case they were looking into, Undersheriff Rick Geist say some items of interest were found.
