Police officers in Louisburg are searching for a man who led them on a foot chase this morning (Thursday). Police were called after several people reported seeing the man in their back yards. He fled and ran onto Rockville Elementary School property. According to the Miami County republic, the school was placed on lock down too during the incident. This means all outer doors were locked. The Miami County Sheriff’s office reported at 9:30. The subject was last seen by Kansas Highway Patrol troopers running east from the area of 271st and Mission Belleview. The man was described as a black male with a mustache, short black, black coat, red shirt, and black jeans. According to the Sheriff’s office. The subject is wanted for interference with law enforcement, the Sheriff’s office reported. At 11:15, the Sheriff’s office reported all available search efforts have been exhausted and law enforcement cleared the call. The suspect had not been located and people are urged to call 911 if they see him.
