It goes without saying that one way to lift a person out of poverty is to provide affordable child care for low income workers… and the child care may need to be provided by employers. Lenora Brecheisen (Breck-Hisen) is with Ripples of Change, an organization aiming at lifting people out poverty. Brecheisen told the Ottawa City Commission that big companies may be able to help employees.
Brecheisen suggests big companies might take a look at providing walk-in clinics so minor health problems could be addressed.
