The Ottawa City Commission’s review of code requirements for certain contractors will be continuing for at least a few more weeks. The commission has been considering whether to loosen certain restrictions for contractors, allowing a greater number of lower skilled workers on some projects. Ottawa community development director Wyndee Lee says the current requirements aren’t even being enforced.
The city commission plans to continue discussing the issue at a January meeting.
