An accident on 59 highway about 3 miles south of Ottawa last night December 20th sent three people to the hospital. A vehicle driven by 69 year old Dennis Wittman of Ottawa was stopped to make a left turn. On to rock creek road there was one car behind him driven by 44 year old Jennifer Peine of Princeton. A third vehicle driven by 19 year old Cameron Miller of Lane struck the rear of Peine’s car, sending it into the northbound lane where it was struck head on by a vehicle driven by 78 year old Judy Tiser of Garnett. Miller, Tiser and a passenger in her car, 68 year old Patricia Uhlenhake of Garnett were taken to Ransom Memorial Health for treatment of their injuries. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that everyone was wearing seatbelts.
