Should Franklin County buy its’ own chip and seal equipment to do roadwork? County officials seem to be somewhat divided on the issue. County Administrator Derek Brown says it might be best to keep contracting it out.
Brown says hiring extra employees might prove to be more expensive than continuing to contract the work out. Franklin county chairperson Rick Howard has been a strong supporter of the county getting its’ own chip and seal equipment… The commission is expected to consider the issue next week.
