The price of trash service is going up… At least it is for Franklin County. The county commission plans to go out for bids because the new owners of Ottawa Sanitation Green Environmental Services have quadrupled the price from around 400 dollars a month to over 2000 dollars a month. County clerk Janet Paddock says the price increase was not forseen.
County administrator Derek Brown is expected to draw up details for going out for bids from other trash companies to get a lower price.
