Should the president of the Ottawa school board have more than a one year term? That’s the question that came up for discussion at the regular school board meeting. Board member Chris Cunningham admitted that one year hardly gives a board President enough time to really learn the ropes.
Some board members seem to think a two year term might be a good idea…. Superintendent Doctor Ryan Cobbs says most school districts around Ottawa have a board President that can stay in that position for several years.
