The intersection of U.S. 59 and Kingman road will soon be the site of the construction work. Franklin County public works Director David Lee told the county commission that when all is said and done, the intersection will be much safer.
Lee says the work is being paid for by the Kansas Department of Transportation, and the project should be done by Thanksgiving. If traffic increases as a result of Proximity Park, additional improvements could be done in the future.
