The Kansas legislature is back at it again on school finance… Legislators are trying to comply with the Kansas Supreme Court’s demand that the state add money to school aid to account for inflation… Which some studies indicates comes to about 360 million dollars. Kansas Governor Laura Kelley put out a plan to add 90 million dollars per year until 2023, which could total 360 million. State Legislator Blaine Finch says at first lawyers for the plantiffs in the school finance lawsuits accepted the proposal… and then things got changed.

Finch says every time the Legislator gets close to what the Supreme Court demands, the the plantiff’s lawyers change their strategy in their attempts to squeeze more money for school finance.
