Severe weather season is coming up faster than we all realize. This week is severe weather awareness week in Kansas. The Kansas statewide tornado drill for 2019 will be conducted tomorrow, Tuesday morning March 5th at 10. Locally, you will hear the sirens sound and all area schools will take part in the drill. National weather service meteorologist John Woynick says the key for families is to have a plan.
He adds that the weather services encourages area residents and businesses to treay the drill as if it were an actual tornado warning and practice their tornado safety plan.
