One unpleasant fact contained in an annual report by the Franklin County Health Department has to do with sexually transmitted infections hitting a ten-year high in Kansas. Health Department Director Midge Ransom says social media may have something to do with this disturbing trend.
Ransom says some diseases are successfully treated with drugs, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be consequences years later down the road. She says a recent upsurge in sexually transmitted diseases in southeast Kansas is something that should be sobering.
