An Ottawa woman was injured in an accident on I-35 near Wellsville yesterday afternoon, Thursday March 28th. Twenty-eight Nicole Noland was southbound in the right lane and hydroplaned on the wet road. She struck the guard rail on the right shoulder under the Stafford Road bridge and bounced off the rail coming back into the lane of travel. A car driven by 41-year-old Casey Springer of Ottawa struck Noland’s car as it crossed the road, throwing her into a second guard rail. KOFO’s Bob Johnson was traveling I-35 just after the accident. He described the scene.

Noland’s car was heavily damaged and she was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries received. This morning, Friday March 29th, she reports she is sore, but doing alright.
