The chip and seal projects for Franklin County is going to cost a bundle…. Almost a million dollars to a number to it. County Public Works Director David Lee says the material this year is better quality than what they used a few years ago.
County officials say they hope to have the repaired roads striped shortly after the chip and seal portion is done…. Last year there was a long gap of time in which drivers complained the roads were unsafe at night because striping wasn’t done promptly.
