The Franklin County Sheriff’s office is launching a program to train staff on how to deal with the growing epidemic of people suffering serious mental health problems. Sheriff Jeff Richards told the County Commission that many people they encounter are in crisis.
Richards says he also wants to get jail staff trained in dealing with mental health problems.
