A series of training sessions are getting local residents ready to meet various kinds of emergencies should they occur. United Way Franklin County Executive Director Meg Pearson says it involves emergency shelter.
Pearson says her organization is cooperating with Red Cross and other agencies to provide shelter and other necessities to victims of fires or other calamities.
