Ottawa has received a grant from Kansas wildlife parks and tourism for over 75 thousand dollars to make improvements to the Flint Hills Trail through Ottawa from Hickory to Walnut Street adjacent to Legacy Square and the Prairie Spirit Trail.
Community development Director Wendy Lee says, “The grant money will go toward two specific goals.
Other enhancements will include new signage 25 directional, 6 interpretive, and two Kiosks along with numerous trail signs and traffic signs. Also included will be benches and trees.
