With all the rainfall in the last few days, officials at Clinton lake say the lake will continue to rise over the next few days. Unfortunately, because the Kansas and Missouri rivers are also receiving high rainfall, they will not be increasing the release rate before Memorial Day weekend.
This will greatly affect those planning on coming to the lake for Memorial Day weekend. Park manager Samantha Jones says, “The state park side is unaffected, but the Bloomington area on the federal side is a different story.
She added that porta-potties will be installed in the area where the bathrooms have been shut down for those still wanting to stay in that area.
